American actor Michael Park was born on July 20, 1968 in Canandaigua, New York. He attended Nazareth College, originally intending to pursue a career as an architect. However, he discovered acting, and began performing in several regional productions, and eventually on Broadway. His more notable stage appearances include in the musical Little Me and the play Smokey Joe’s Caf?. He also starred in the national tour of Phantom of the Opera.
Park, however, is perhaps most known for his role in the daytime soap As the World Turns. He joined the soap in 1997, originating the role of Jack Snyder. His character is one half of the supercouple known as “CarJack”—he is paired with Carly Tenney (Maura West), who he later married. The two characters’ relationship is somehow unlikely, as they initially hated each other, but only got to grips with their relationship after working together in an investigation. Park was nominated for three Soap Opera Digest Awards and two Daytime Emmys during his run.
Park is currently married to music therapist Laurie Nowak; they have three children.
