American actress Marnie Schulenberg was born on May 21, 1984 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She is a theater graduate of DeSales University in LeHigh County, Pennsylvania, where she was once a gymnast. She also took further training in dance and singing at the Cape Cod Conservatory, where she appeared in several musicals. She began acting in stage, appearing in play readings for the Dramatists Guild of America in New York City and the Flux Theatre Ensemble.
Schulenburg got her start on the screen in 2007, when she joined the cast of the daytime soap As the World Turns. She took on the role of Alison Stewart, whose surrogate mother, Susan Stewart (Marie Masters), was given an egg donated by her daughter Emily (Kelley Menighan Hensley). Her character also appeared in a crossover episode of The Young and the Restless, and in the web-only miniseries L.A. Diaries, whose events were set before her appearance on As the World Turns. In line with her training as a singer, she also sang in an episode of the said soap.
