Thirty-five year old Mark Kruger from Dartmouth, Massachusetts is an approachable, honest and sincere family man who values his loves ones dearly. While in school, he was an active fellow, but he began to gain weight when he started his own family. A hard worker and quite competitive himself, Mark enjoys competing with his brother Jay
, who works as the same company that he does. He has no time to work out, and his weight has somehow prevented him from succeeding in his career because the company requires fitness for all upper management. Mark’s New Year’s resolution is to lose more than his kids weigh.
Mark and his brother Jay decided to conquer their weight problem together and compete in NBC's The Biggest Loser 5 as the Black Team. Mark initially weighed in at 285 lbs. He was eliminated on week 9, but was brought back in week 11 after having the highest percentage of weight loss of all the eliminated men. On week 15, Mark and Roger both fell below the yellow line, and unfortunately for Mark, it was Roger who was voted by America to compete in the final three.
