Canadian actress Marie Fleveras, professionally known as Marie Wilson, was born on October 12, 1974 in Greece. She was raised, however, in Toronto, Ontario. She began her acting career in 1999, when she joined the cast of the short-lived daytime soap Port Charles. She played the role of Karen Wexler, a role she inherited from Jennifer Hammon, and which originally appeared on its sister soap, General Hospital. She played the role until 2003, when the character was killed off shortly before the drama’s cancellation.
In 2005, Wilson joined the cast of another daytime soap, As the World Turns. She took on the role of Meg Snyder, a role last portrayed by Jennifer Ashe in 1994. The daughter of Emma (Kathleen Widdoes) and Harvey Snyder, she is currently engaged to Paul Ryan (Roger Howarth). She was involved, however, at one point with Josh Snyder (William Fichtner).
Wilson also has experience her film. Her first feature-length appearance was in the television movie And the Beat Goes On: The Sonny and Cher Story, aired in 1999, where she had a supporting role. In 2004, she had another supporting role in the award-winning sports drama Guarding Eddy.
