Marguerite MacIntyre began her acting career on stage, making her debut when she was 16 years old. Initially appearing in regional productions, she later established herself on Broadway, appearing in productions of City of Angels and Jane Eyre, among others.
MacIntyre made her screen debut in 1994, and has gone on to appear as a guest in several television shows. In 1997, she took a recurring role in The Tom Show, followed by another recurring role in ABC's Two Guys and a Girl. She also held a recurring role in the critically-acclaimed The Shield, in 2003. She was part of tjhe cast of the short-lived ABC series The Days, and the more successful Kyle XY. In 2009 she took a recurring role in the CW's The Vampire Diaries.
