Richard Lloyd Owen, born on the 14th of April 1966 in London, England, is an actor who honed his acting skills at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Owen is best known for his role as Paul Bowman-McDonald in the BBC's Monarch of the Glen, which he played from 2002 to 2005. Another notable role was as Indiana's father Dr. Henry Jones in The Young Indiana Jones, a show he appeared in for seven years. In 2006, he appeared in the film Miss Potter as William Heelis. In 2007, he was cast as Ripley Holden in Viva Laughlin. His other television appearances include those in The Ghost Squad, The Innocent Project, Casualty and Midsomer Murders.
Ripley Holden is played by Lloyd Owen in the television series Viva Laughlin. Ripley is an ambitious businessman who aims to put up his own casino. After experiencing a financial downfall, he approaches Nicky Fontana, his rival, to ask for help. Getting caught up in his business deals, Ripley doesn’t have time for his wife and children who are seeking his attention. Viva Laughlin follows the colorful lives of the rich and powerful, and how they get around each other’s plots and mysteries.
