Kenya-born Liza Mucheru-Wisner became known for being part of the Kenyan National Golf team and was soon recruited to play golf at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. After completing her education and taking up a Masters degree, she started an educational technology company. Unfortunately, the recession hit and she underwent a number of struggles to make it through. This mother of two kept doing her best to help out her family while following her dreams.
In 2010, Liza Mucheru-Wisner was chosen as one of the contestants for NBC's The Apprentice. She finished in third place because Trump deemed her unable to work with others. However, she was told that she did a fantastic job throughout the season. Since then, she was recognized by several Kenyan officials. This enabled her to live her passion through Texas Techies, which aims to teach children technology, math and reading.
