Liz Hernandez appears as one of the hosts of the MTV reality television competition series Celebrity Rap Superstar. She was born and grew up in Riverside, California, and started out her radio career while attending the University of San Diego. As she pursued a degree in communications, she also interned for a local radio station at the same time. Among her job duties were doing promotional work, answering the phone, and making on-air celebrity reports. After Hernandez graduated, she moved back for a time to Monterey, California in order to co-host a morning show. Later on, she moved to Southern California in 2001.
There, she joined up with the biggest hip-hop music station in Los Angeles, Power 106. Hernandez became part of the morning show “Big Boy’s Neighborhood,” and covered entertainment news stories in her own segment titled “This Just Handed to Me.” Among the wide range of topics she covered were red-carpet events, awards shows, and one-on-one talks with some of Hollywood’s hottest names. She can also been heard every weekend on the nationally syndicated radio program “Big Boy’s Hip Hop Spot.” Hernandez has also been lauded and recognized by the National Hispanic Media Coalition for excellence in radio broadcasting.
