At a young age, fashion boutique owner Lisa Kline has had a strong interest in fashion. Despite being afflicted with scoliosis for seven years since she was seven, she continued to read up and daydream about clothes, and when she was finally cured, she pursued a career in exactly that. After studying fashion design at Syracuse University, she returned to Los Angeles to work for several fashion retailers, eventually launching her first eponymous store in 1995.
The Lisa Kline boutique has since forged a reputation for spotting trends before they become trends, and providing a home to up-and-coming fashion designers. While earning a celebrity clientele, she established the city’s Robertson Boulevard as a retail center, eventually setting up a men’s boutique and kids’ boutique in 1999 and 2003, respectively, both also bearing her name.
Kline is also known as a fashion stylist, having worked on many celebrities for the past decade. She has also helped style for television shows such as Beverly Hills 90210 and its modern-day counterpart. She has also contributed to several publications and television programs, and will be judge on Bravo’s Launch my Line. She currently lives with her two children, Dylan and Colt; her husband, Robert Bryson, died after accidentally falling from their home’s balcony in January 2009.
