Korean American actress Linda Park was born on July 9, 1978 in South Korea, and was raised in California. As a teenager, she developed an interest in acting and appeared on several stage productions in her school. She was educated at Notre Dame High School and Bellamine College Preparatory, which led her to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Boston University. During that time, she spent a semester in England and studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, as well as at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Her college theatre credits include performances in productions of Mad Forest, Lysistrata, Cyrano de Bergerac, Richard III and The Trojan Women.
A few months after her graduation, Linda Park was chosen to play the role she became know for. She portrayed Ensign Hoshi Sato on the hit sci-fi series, Star Trek: Enterprise. As the show continued its run, Park was tapped for other projects. She posed for the magazine FHM at the time, further boosting her to popularity.
Prior to her fame on Star Trek: Enterprise, Park was cast on an episode of Popular, as well as receiving a small cameo appearance in Jurassic Park III. Later on, she got roles in Spectres and Geldersma, both in 2004. When Enterprise ended in 2005, Park decided to play the character Shen on My Prince, My Angel. This was the first short film that she also produced. The next year, she started to portray Sally Lance on the NBC television drama Raines. Later on, she became a series regular on the ABC series Women’s Murder Club, where she plays Denise Kwon.
Other than acting, Linda Park is also an active student of dance. She continues to study ballet, and is also a bronze-level international Latin ballroom dancer. In addition to that, she is the co-founder of the theater company Underground Asylum. She never stopped her theatre work, as she starred in UA’s world premiere of the play Fuchsia, by Mary Fengar Gail.
