Born on August 6, 1976, Libra is a Texas native known in this Bush country for being a huge supporter of Barack Obama. She graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Economics. Her strong personality made her stand out in the predominantly white schools she attended. Libra has been married for seven years. She has three children, a four-year old girl and four-month old twins – one black and one white, which is considered a medical rarity. Her husband claims to be contented with staying at home with the kids while rooting for his wife all the way. She will be leaving them behind, since the Big Brother producers are not allowing Libra any contact with the outside world.
Libra works as a Human Resources Representative, and considers politics very important. She has voted in every election for which she was eligible. Other than being serious with governmental issues, Libra also enjoys sports. She loved being a college athlete and has played volleyball in the NCAA. She also likes shopping, running, hanging out with friends and sharing gossip.
Libra’s relationship with her mother is excellent, though she doesn’t really know her father. She remembers meeting him only once. She notes Oprah Winfrey as her hero because Oprah has surpassed all odds and became a top figure in television, having more and more influence on the American culture.
Proud of her children, Libra describes herself as intuitive and spunky. She also wants to be a singer, although she doesn’t believe that she will ever become one. She claims to be attracted to men such as actors Jude Law, Matthew McConaughey and Rob Lowe, as well as Nick from Big Brother 8. Because of her family background, she expects that she will have to play the role of mommy in the Big Brother house.
