Lenny Veltman was raised in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where he served the Soviet army for 2 years. He moved to the United States without knowledge of the English language and started out as a janitor. Eventually, he became an owner of a Russian restaurant. In addition, he became a stock broker and soon started to manage his won medical trading company.
Ultimately, he became part of the reality show The Apprentice season 5 as one of the contestants. He was part of team Gold Rush and was fired on week 7 because he didn't fully support his team despite being project manager at the time.
