Biography

Lee Dewyze is the winner of the ninth season of American Idol.

He was born on April 2, 1986 in Mount Prospect, IL. A graduate of Mount Prospect High School, he has been performing since age 16.

Before joining the show, he signed to an independent label, Wuli Records, and released two albums: So I'm Told, in 2007, and Slumberland, in 2010.

He joined American Idol through auditions held in Chicago.
