Reality star Lauren Catherine Conrad, who was born in Newport on February 1, 1986, grew up in Laguna Beach, California. Lauren Conrad was a cast member on the first season of MTV’s reality TV show Laguna Beach. In the show, she had a crush on Stephen Colletti, and dated Jason Wahler. She left the series in 2009 and was replaced by Kristin Cavallari while she worked with Teen Vogue. She continued making TV appearances however, gaining fame with roles in Greek and Family Guy. She was also seen on the comedy Epic Movie. She has since pursued her career as a novelist, penning a bestseller called L.A. Candy and its sequel, Sweet Little Lies.
