American actress Laivan Greene was born on February 17, 1992 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Her first known television appearance was in 2003, when she appeared in an episode of The Jamie Kennedy Experiment. She then played multiple guest roles on television, appearing in shows like That’s So Raven, The Bernie Mac Show and Without a Trace. She was also one of the performers in The Nick and Jessica Variety Hour.
In 2006, Greene joined the cast of the sitcom All of Us. She entered the show in a recurring capacity, playing the role of Courtney, the long-lost daughter of Robert James’ (Duane Martin) best friend Dirk Black (Tony Rock). She entered after a swarm of cast departures, and became a supporting character. The series, however, was cancelled the following year.
Greene is, however, perhaps most known for her role in the Disney Channel Original Movie Jump In! which aired in 2007. She played the role of Keisha Ray, one of the members of the Joy Jumpers, a jump-rope team that Izzy Daniels (Corbin Bleu) joins as a last-minute replacement. She also is one of the best friends of female lead Mary Thomas (Keke Palmer), and knows about her secret crush on Izzy. The program was a ratings success, only to be surpassed by High School Musical 2.
Greene also had guest roles in other television shows, such as Numb3rs, Girlfriends, Just Jordan and Heroes.
