Kristoff St. John, who was born on July 15, 1966 in New York City, is an Emmy Award winning actor best known for his role as Neil Winters in the highly-watched soap opera, The Young and the Restless. His first appearance on a soap opera was on NBC's Generations, where he played Adam Marshall. In 1992, St. John won the Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series Emmy Award for his work in The Young and the Restless.

Their daughter, Lily, was actually not fathered by Neil, instead she was the offspring of his brother, Malcolm. Upon finding out the truth, Neil became furious. During his separation from Drucilla, he became involved with women such as Alex Perez, Dru's sister, Olivia, and Victoria Newman. He was also an alcoholic who drank during his depressed and distraught moments.
