Kristen Holden-Ried graduated from the Concordia University School of Business, but eventually pursued acting afterwards. After appearing in several minor roles, he took a recurring role in DeGrassi, which led to a stint on the first season of Showtime's The Tudoes. He later recurred in The Bridge and MVP, and is currently part of the supernatural-themed series Lost Girl.
Holden-Ried was also a champion equestrian and fencer, having been part of the Canadian National Pentathlon Team.
