Believing that a great bag accentuates any look, Project Runway contestant Korto Momolu is originally from Liberia. She moved to Canada to pursue a career in fashion design and attended Fashion School in Ottawa. She then moved outside of Little Rock, Arkansas and raised her family.
Korto infuses tribal details into her designs, owing to her African roots. She says her designs are intended for real, full-figured women. She is also motivated by rich fabrics and textures, which she inculcates in her designs. Korto has also worked as a freelance fashion photographer and is part of an African dance troupe. In her spare time, she does African braiding and makeup. Being fun and outgoing, she is inspired by designs of Tracy Reese, Valentino and Randolph Duke.
