Kooan Kosuke is a Japanese designer who got his formal training at the Fashion Institute of Technology. He claims that he's good at pattern making, draping, and tailoring, among other skills. Currently residing in Queens, New York, he auditioned for Project Runway the first time when he was still a student but didn't make the cut. He tried and was cast for the sixth season of the show but had to decline due to issues regarding his green card. For the third time, he tried to audition again and was fortunately cast as one of the contestants of Project Runway season 10.
