Ashland, Kentucky native Kennedy, 12, admires Tony Blair and would like to promote education and communication between people of different cultures and religions. To make the world a better place, she encourages environmental awareness and recycling. When she grows up, Kennedy wants to become an orthopedic surgeon, specializing in sports or a sports psychologist. She also aims to get into Georgia Tech University.
Kennedy is one of 40 kids aged 8 to 15 to participate in CBS' Kid Nation, a reality show aiming to test the endurance and abilities of the youth once left alone in a barren town. During their forty-day stay, they are to establish their own government and economy, and deal with mature issues as they deal with homesickness. Every episode will end with a town meeting where an outstanding kid will earn a gold star worth $20,000.
