The daughter of actress Shannon Wilcox, Kelli Williams made her screen debut before she turned a year old, when she appeared in a diaper commercial. She was involved in her high school's theater department, and was signed up by an agent after starring in a school production of Romeo & Juliet.
Most of Williams' work focused on television, making her debut in an episode of Beauty and the Beast and later appearing in the short-lived series Elvis. She made her film debut in 1993's Mr. Jones. She also was a veteran of numerous TV movies.
After a two-episode stint on the sci-fi series Earth 2, Williams joined the cast of the legal drama The Practice. She stayed on the show until it wrapped up in 2003. She then fronted the short-lived NBC series Medical Investigation. In 2009, she joined the Fox series Lie To Me, appearing as psychologist Gillian Foster.
Williams is married to author Ajay Sahgal, with whom she has three children.
- In an interview with Marie Claire magazine, Kelli admitted that she had breast implants when she was 19. She had them removed three years later.
