Emmy-nominated actress Kelley Menighan Hensley was born on February 15, 1967 in Glenview, Illinois. She made her acting debut in 1989, playing an uncredited bit role in an episode of Young Charlie Chaplin. The following year, she appeared in her first film, again playing a bit role, this time credited, in the action flick Guns. In 1992, Hensley signed up for a role in the daytime soap As the World Turns, which would be where she is most remembered for.
Hensley played the role of Emily Stewart, a role she inherited from Melanie Smith. Having taken on numerous occupations, from journalist to prostitute, and having married (and divorced) four times, the character’s life is a quite eventful one. Her character also appeared in one crossover episode of The Young and the Restless, which aired in 2007. For the role, Hensley received two Daytime Emmy nominations, the first in 2002, and the second in 2008.
Hensley is married to her As the World Turns co-star Jon Hensley; they officially wed in 1996. Together they have three children.
