Biography

Keith Philip George Allen (also Keith Howell Charles Allen) was born June 2, 1953 in Gorseinon near Swansea in Wales. He is an actor, comedian, singer and writer. Allen has appeared in a number of film, television and stage productions in both dramas and comedies. He is a member of the band Fat Les along with Britpop artists Damien Hirst and Blur bassist Alex James. He also occasionally collaborates with New Order and co-wrote their hit single, World In Motion. Allen is an avid fan of Fullham FC, which is the oldest professional football club in London. He and his band, Colin and the Cottagers, have produced a number of official songs for the team. Aside from his love of football, Allen is also a passionate conservationist and is a patron of the Dorset Wildlife Trust. He has eight children from several relationships.

Vaysey, the Sheriff of Nottingham, played by Keith Allen on the BBC show Robin Hood, is a conniving, scheming, manipulative ruler. He is paranoid, cruel, ambitious and sadistic and delights in tormenting Robin of Locksley for his actions and principles.
