Kane was born on April 26, 1967 in Madrid, Spain as Glenn Thomas Jacobs. The professional wrestler and actor is signed to World Wrestling Entertainment, under the RAW brand. Throughout his WWE career, he has accumulated 15 championship accolades: one-time world champion (one WWE Championship), one-time ECW Champion (not recognized as a "World Title"), a two-time Intercontinental Champion, a ten-time Tag Team Champion (nine World Tag Team Championships, one WCW Tag Team Championship), and a former Hardcore Champion.
Jacobs attended Quincy University in Illinois, and initially developed a fondness for basketball. He later joined the Northeast Missouri State University on a basketball scholarship, and was even an NCAA all-star during the 1988-1989 seasons. Even though he gained much success in that sport, he opted to play on the college football team. There, he earned all-conference honors as an offensive lineman. He later graduated with a degree in English, and soon worked as a junior high substitute teacher.
In 1992, Jacobs began his wrestling career in the St. Louis, Missouri area. He debuted as Angus King, and briefly appeared on WCW Saturday Night as Bruiser Mastino. Moving south, he wrestled as The Christmas Creature and Doomsday, and was seen in the United States Wrestling Association. His next work was as Unabomb in Smoky Mountain Wrestling, and even competed in the Japanese shoot wrestling promotion Pro Wrestling Fujiwara Gumi.
He debuted with the WWF as Dr. Isaac Yankem DDS in 1995, playing Jerry Lawler’s private dentist. Two years later, he was renamed as Kane in a storyline, where he was the younger half-brother of The Undertaker and son of Paul Bearer. He won his first match as Kane at Survivor Series, where he was put up against Mankind. Kane’s character was portrayed as someone psychologically unstable, extremely violent with a short fuse. Kane continued with his work, teaming up or feuding with a variety of wrestlers. He has appeared on other brands of WWE, which are Smackdown and ECW. Kane has also been seen on shows like the CW’s Smallville, and on a special WWF edition of the game show The Weakest Link, where he emerged the strongest.
