Actress Kaitlyn Doubleday was born on July 19, 1984 in Los Angeles, California. She began acting in 2002, making her debut as a guest in an episode of Without a Trace. She has since starred in several films, with roles in Catch Me If You Can, Home of Phobia, Waiting…, Accepted, Edgar Allan Poe’s Ligeia and The TV Set. She also had several appearances on television, with guest roles in CSI: Miami and Cold Case.
Doubleday’s first regular stint on television came in 2007, when she took a role in the comedy series Cavemen. Inspired by a series of television ads, it is set in an alternate reality, when cavemen were not fully replaced by modern humans, but instead exist as a distinct minority. Doubleday played the role of Kate, the homo sapiens girlfriend of Joel (Bill English). The series was put on hold when the writers’ strike began, and was quietly cancelled before the strike was settled.
