Born Judith Laura Evans on July 20, 1975 in Livonia, Michigan, Judy Evans Greer was educated at DePaul University where she attended the theatre program. Before developing an interest in acting, she trained for about ten years in classical Russian dance. She worked with Bunny Sanford’s School of Dance, and has attended the Winston Churchill High School. After working on several odd jobs during her college years, she landed her first on-screen role three days after graduation. In 1998, she got a small part in Kissing a Fool, working with Jason Lee and David Schwimmer.
Judy Greer’s talent began to get the attention of many, as she was later cast in the dark comedy Jawbreaker with Rose McGowan and Rebecca Gayheart. Her next film was Three Kings, where she had a memorable love scene with George Clooney. After her role in The Big Split in 1999, she was cast in What Planet Are You From? as Rebecca. She worked on a string of films from 2000 to 2001, which include Sunset Strip, The Specials, What Women Want and Without Charlie. She has also worked with Adam Sandler on The Wedding Planner, before voicing various characters in the hit animated series Family Guy. In 2002, she was seen in Rules of Love, as well as on the dramatic comedy Adaptation with Nicolas Cage, Tilda Swinton, Meryl Streep and Chris Cooper. Greer next starred with Andy Dick and Adam Goldberg in the comedy The Hebrew Hammer, which debuted at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival. She later got a guest role in Just Shoot Me! and starred in 13 Going on 30 as Lucy Wyman. Her next projects were I Love Your Work opposite Giovanni Ribisi, and M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village with Adrien Brody, Joaquin Phoenix and Sigourney Weaver. Some of Greer’s notable TV appearances include those in CSI: Miami, Arrested Development, Love Monkey, Two and a Half Men, Californication and My Name is Earl. She is also known for playing the guidance councilor Becky Freely in the series Miss Guided. In 2008, Greer made an appearance in the romantic film 27 Dresses and in the comedy Visioneers starring Chris Coppola She soon found her way back to television, bagging the role of Connie Grabowski on CBS' Mad Love. She was also seen in Love and Other Drugs, How I Met Your Mother, and The Big Bang Theory.
