A self-proclaimed class clown growing up, Josh Grisetti began acting in middle school, soon after learned he could sing, and continued performing in high school and community theater. He was born on December 1, 1981 in Washington D.C. and has appeared on several shows and films throughout his career. Having studied at North Carolina School for the Arts, he later got a degree in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory. While there, he performed as a vocal soloist with the Boston Pops. In addition, he is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association, as well as the Screen Actors Guild.
In 2006, Josh Grisetti was cast as Jerry on the film adaptation of Jhumpa Lahiri’s novel The Namesake. Afterwards, he rose to fame playing Louis Plunk on the ABC comedy series The Knights of Prosperity. His character is that of an intern, a nerdy college student who inadvertently joined a gang of misfits prepping for a major celebrity heist. This was Grisetti’s network television and was the first TV series for which he ever auditioned.
Also in 2007, Josh Grisetti worked on The Sandpiper, a dramatic comedy directed and written by Claudia Carey. The next year, he got a role in the reality comedy series Public Interest, written by Brad Robinson. Grisetti received a Carbonell Award nomination for Best Actor for his leading performance in "Where's Charley?," with the Caldwell Theatre Company in Florida, a role he reprised, having understudied it for the Goodspeed Opera House in 2004.
In 2008, Grisetti signed on for a role in the TV production The Superagent. Cast as Scottie, Josh got a chance to work with Matt Servito, Monique Dupree, Eddie Hargitay, Sabina Gadecki and Ricky Garcia. Grisetti is more known for his performances on Broadway as well, and has worked on several independent films. He has also been part of stage productions on regional theaters across the country. Furthermore, he studied music in Italy while performing on the operas “Die Lustige Witwe” and “Cosi fan Tutte.”
