Following her parents into the Hollywood spotlight, Jordan Elizabeth Ladd was born on January 14, 1975 to Charlie’s Angels star Cheryl Ladd and producer David Ladd. Jordan Ladd began appearing in commercials at the age of two, and her first ad was for Polaroid. In the early 1990s, while still in high school, she began appearing in television films starring her mother. She was a waitress in both The Girl Who Came Between Them and Broken Promises: Taking Emily Back. Jordan Ladd branched out when she guest-starred in Saved by the Bell: The New Class in 1994. She also starred opposite Alyssa Milano in the horror Embrace of the Vampire the year after. She also landed the lead role in Gregg Araki’s The Doom Generation, but decided to opt out due to her mother’s disapproval of the role.
Jordan Ladd starred in the low-budget business drama Stand-Ins in 1997, before getting a role with her mother in the television film Every Mother’s Worst Fear. She landed her first high-profile role a year later, portraying popular teenager Gibby in Never Been Kissed, alongside Drew Barrymore. The two worked closely together, leading Barrymore to offer Jordan a role in the remake of Charlie’s Angels in 2000. She politely turned down the part because she wished to break away from her mother’s shadow. In 2000, she starred as strung-out actress Amber Lyon’s in Best Actress, the first original movie by E! This was followed by roles in The Deadly Look of Love and The Specials, about the private lives of superheroes, and Boy’s Life 3 in that same year. She has also lent her voice in the stop-motion animation Robot Chicken. Jordan Ladd is most known for her roles in thrillers like Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof, Hostel: Part II, and as Karen in 2002’s Cabin Fever.
