California native Johnny Sakalis became known as one of the contestants of Project Runway 6. This fan of Alexander McQueen and Viktor & Rolf has worked as a creative director of his own company, John Sakalis LLC. He was educated at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. On the show, he scored high on the first challenge but was soon eliminated on episode 5. The designers were tasked to create a garment out of newspaper, and he wasn’t able to please the judges with his work.
