Johnny Lonestar appeared as one of the top 20 finalists competing on season two of the NBC reality television show America’s Got Talent. A Western arts cowboy performer hailing from Branson, MO, in the L.A. auditions he did a trick roping act. During the subsequent Las Vegas callbacks he performed a trick whip act. In the semifinals he performed trick roping to the Big & Rich song “Save a Horse,” with the act culminating in him twirling a giant lasso around himself and all three judges while standing on the judges’ table. However, he was eliminated from the contest later on.
