Born in Brooklyn, New York, Joey Fatone first tasted fame as one of the five pop artists of the popular boyband ‘N Sync. He spent his formative years in Orlando, Florida, where he attended Dr. Phillips High School. Fatone has shown great love for performing ever since he was a little boy. He made his film debut when he was just seven years old, and it was in the movie
Once Upon a Time in America. Although he was only an extra, Fatone went on to succeed both as a singer and an actor. When ‘N Sync disbanded, he decided to use his creative genius elsewhere, appearing in a Broadway production of
Little Shop of Horrors and in highly-acclaimed films such as
My Big Fat Greek Wedding and
The Cooler. In 2007, he and former bandmate Lance Bass, with whom he worked with on the film,
On the Line, started working on a sitcom that follows the comedic form of
The Odd Couple. In 2012 Fatone competed in ABC’s popular reality series,
Dancing with the Stars, with dancer
Kym Johnson as his partner. Kym Johnson and Joey Fatone were eliminated in week 2.
