Born on November 8, 1988 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Jessica Lowndes is an aspiring singer and actress known for her roles on the modern revamp of 90210 on The CW, alongside a host of teen-oriented shows, such as Greek, Kyle XY, and Saving Milly. Lowndes attended Pacific Academy in Surrey, BC. It was also in Vancouver where she was discovered by the producers of Masters of Horror.
Lowndes bagged the recurring role of Mandi on the ABC Family hit series Greek. Greek is the teen comedy-drama which was launched in July 2007. It follows the students of Cyprus-Rhodes University who partake in the school’s Greek system. Most characters belong to one of the fictional fraternities Kappa Tau Gamma and Omega Chi Delta or the fictional sororities Zeta Beta Zeta and Alpha Omega.
An aspiring singer, Lowndes also wrote and sang “Goodbye,” which prominently figured in an episode of the CBS cult series Moonlight. She recorded her first demo disc in 2006, sending it to both Icon Records or Red Girl Records unsuccessfully. She had been in negotiations with Epic Records since December 2008 to record an album.
Lowndes was also cast to play Adrianna Tate-Duncan, a pregnant teenager with a series drug addiction on the revival of 90210. Her character was portrayed as a lying thieving heroin addict who stole money of her friends to get her next fix, which resulted in her having to drop from the school play and even a movie role.
Lowndes starred with Chace Crawford in the 2008 horror film The Haunting of Molly Hartley, playing the role of Laurel Miller. She played the lead in the film, following a trail of sticky-notes to an abandoned shack in the woods. She was also in the film Autopsy.
