Biography

Nineteen-year-old Jesse Money hails from Westlake Village, California and is the daughter of rock singer-songwriter Eddie Money. When she was still a kid, Jesse was often found walking onstage during her father’s performances to bring him water. Her other four brothers are also music enthusiasts. She often jams with the boys in their garage at home. Jesse enjoys heavy metal but likes soulful and bluesy music better.

As she grew up, Jesse Money was learned about the music business from her father. She regularly performs with her father and maintains a close relationship with him. She also describes Eddie as her toughest critic, and acknowledges the fact that she got her interest in music from him. “I grew up shakin’ my hips on the side of stage watching him, we are best friends but sometimes I have to be the mother figure and take care of him,” shared Jesse.

Being a Money gave her the opportunity to meet the world’s most famous artists. Aside from touring with her father around U.S., she has also performed with Loverboy's Mike Reno. Jesse is currently a backup vocalist for Eddie’s band. She was well-praised for singing “Take Me Home Tonight,” “Turtle Blues” and “Higher and Higher” with her father in their concert tours.
Eddie’s Wanna Go Back album features Jesse’s first three recording entitled “Mockingbird,” Hold On I’m Coming” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”
Among the instruments she knows how to play are the tambourine, cow bell, maracas, piano, and guitar.

Jesse Money is one of the nine contestants on MTV’s reality talent search Rock the Cradle, wherein the offspring of pop and rock stars compete to prove that the talent is in their genes. On its first episode, she sang Three Doors Down’s “When I’m Gone.”
