Twenty-five-year-old Jesse Blaze Snider comes from Middle Island, New York and is the son of Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider.
During his teenage years, Jesse Blaze worked as a door-to-door sales kid for P.A.L. coupon books. He made $100 in one week and quit shortly after receiving his first-ever pay check. He also worked at 7-Eleven and at Blockbuster Video. His other jobs include being a florist, a construction worker and a gymnastics coach.
For two years, he worked at Planet Comics!, a local comic book store owned by Game Stop. “The best job I ever had! But then they stopped selling comic books and I quit,” shared Jesse Blaze. Soon enough, he became a comic book writer for Marvel and Fangoria Comics.
Jesse Blaze Snider has his own band called Baptized by Fire, where he acts as a vocalist and as a songwriter as well. They had opened for bands like W.A.S.P and L.A. Guns. The music video of their song entitled “Juggernaut” featured Jesse’s little brother, Cody Blue Snider.
Jesse said that his father never forced him to take on the same route. “It’s always ‘Do what you want to do.’ I try to keep him out of the loop. But when I have demos, I definitely go to him for a first opinion. For the most part, I am self-sustaining and like to do it myself and I hope he likes it,” explained Jesse.
Jesse’s other accomplishments include being a DJ for radio stations WBON and WLR and a VJ for MTV2, Fuse and AOL Music. He also did voice-over work for Pizza Hut, Cheetos, Gamestop, Showtime and Burger King advertisements. He describes this gig as a really cool one and claims it as the best-paying job. Jesse was also seen in Playstation 2’s video game SingStar 80’s.
Outside the work environment, Jesse Blaze plays football for the Brooklyn Mariners. He is a national champion semi-pro football player.
Jesse Blaze Snider is one of the nine contestants on MTV’s reality talent search Rock the Cradle, wherein the offspring of pop and rock stars compete to prove that the talent is in their genes.
