Jerry Lisenby appears as a contestant in the fourth season of the NBC reality television series The Biggest Loser. He is the oldest competitor at 62 years old, and hails from Peoria, Illinois. He has been described as being highly energetic and passionate about life, and he was previously active as a YMCA bodybuilder and a Golden Gloves Boxing champion fighter. He also used to own his own hardware store, as well as having worked at his community’s local fire department.
After he sold his business, he headed to Paraguay together with his wife, whom he has been married to for over 40 years. There, they assisted with the efforts of the Peace Corps to combat poverty and alleviate suffering. Throughout all this, he has contended sporadically with bouts of weight trouble, and now he’s prepared to decisively deal with obesity once and for all.
During his time on The Biggest Loser, Jerry, who stands at 5'11", went from weighing 297 pounds to 254 pounds before he was eliminated on week 3. During the live finale, Jerry weighed in at 187 pounds, having lost 110 pounds and 37.04% of his total body weight.
