Jeffrey Ross was born Jeffrey Ross Lifschultz on September 13, 1965 in New Jersey. He is a talented stand-up comic who has appeared on high-profile shows like The View, Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. A former member of the Friars Club, Ross is a favorite at celebrity roasts and has been called "The Meanest Man in Comedy" by New York Magazine for his blistering roasting of Hugh Hefner, Donald Trump, Jerry Stiller, Drew Carey, Shaquille O'Neal, Yankee's Manager Joe Torre, Kelsey Grammer and Rob Reiner.
Jeffrey Ross has also been known as a regular of The Opie and Anthony Show, and was seen in a dramatic turn on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He has also appeared on HBO’s Six Feet Under, Comedy Central’s The Sarah Silverman Program, and on Showtime’s series Weeds. His film credits include roles in Stuck on You and The Aristocrats, and he has been one of the judges on the reality impersonation show, The Next Best Thing. He later appeared as a regular cast member of Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘n Out, which aired on MTV. He has also voiced the beagle Buddy in the animated satire program he created, Where My Dogs At?, which was shown on MTV2. As a director, he has worked on Patriot Act: A Jeffrey Ross Home Movie. This do!$#!#entary received the Best Feature Film Award at the Montreal Comedy Festival.
Ross has also been slated as one of the contestants on the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars. He has been partnered with Edyta Sliwinska. Joining 13 other couples, the two are set to perform various types of dances that will enable them to win the much-coveted mirror ball trophy. The show is hosted by Emmy Award-winning game show host Tom Bergeron, and features Len Goodman, Carrie Anne Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli as the panel of judges.
