Jeff Hephner was an active athlete throughout his high school and college years, playing basketball and football. He then turned his attention to acting, making his film debut in 2000's "Tigerland", and later appearing alongside Jennifer Lopez in the romantic comedy "Maid in Manhattan".

In 2004 Hephner joined the cast of the short-lived Fox series "The Jury". Three years later, he was part of another short-lived series, CBS' "Easy Money". He also held recurring roles in "The OC", "Mercy" and on the CW series "Hellcats" where he played the role of the football coach Red Raymond.

Hephner also starred in the Starz original series, Boss, as the State Treasurer Ben Zajac.
