Biography

Jason Watkins is a versatile film and television actor who has appeared in movies like Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason and TV films like The Virgin Queen. He is also one of the stars of Being Human, a supernatural comedy drama where he plays Police sergeant William Herrick, a socially powerful vampire who is interested in the way Mitchell lives his life. Watkins made his acting debut in 1987 in the TV series EastEnders. This was followed by a string of guest of appearances on Soldier Solider, Between the Lines, The Buddha of Suburbia, Casualty, Pie in the Sky and Gown Ups. On the big screen, Watkins gradually started to make a name for himself as he became a part of the 1997 movie Tomorrow Never Dies, Onegin, Circus, and Sabotage! among others. While Watkins was thriving in the big screen, he remained active in the small screen as he appeared on Duck Patrol as Kevin “Taz” Delaney and Saul Bream on The Bill. He also found steady gigs in TV-movies such as Sex Traffic, The Russian Bride, In Denial of Murder, State of Mind and Sex ‘n’ Death. In 2004, Watkins was cast as Jason Buliegh on the drama series Conviction and the following year as Roger on All About George before earning a spot on the show Funland as Bradley Stainer. Watkins was also credited in Life on Mars, and the Dickens adaptation Little Dorrit.
