Jaslene Gonzalez



Model Jaslene Gonzalez was born on May 29, 1986 in Puerto Rico. She grew up in Chicago and was educated at Notre Dame High School for Girls. Before competing in America's Next Top Model, she worked as an online college admissions advisor and did some modeling work on the side. She was represented by Avant Garde Models at the time, and even appeared in fashion shows.

Having initially tried out for Cycle 7 of the show, Jaslene Gonzalez proved her determination when she won Cycle 8. After her stint on America's Next Top Model, she continued her career in modeling and has been featured in several magazines. She has also been on a number of runway shows ever since, in addition to making TV appearances like those on The View and TRL. She also became the host of style spots for CoverGirl TV and has been seen in music videos, including Magic Juan's "Baby Come Back".

- She was once part of the dance troupe her grandfather helped cofound, "Viva Le gente" in Chicago, as a child she would strut to the Puerto Rican Music and do various Dance Routines with other kids.

- She is the first full Latina to win America's Next Top Model .

- She was the only winner of America's Next Top Model who never made an appearance, in the bottom two.

- She was the twelfth name called in America's Next Top Model Cycle 8.
