Jared Cotter Biography:

Jared Cotter is originally from Kew Gardens, New York, but now resides in West Orange, New Jersey. The 25 year-old graduated from Five Towns College in Long Island, with a degree in business management. Due to the encouragement of his mother, Jared auditioned for season 6 of American Idol in New York with many other hopeful men and women, and fortunately made it all the way to the Top 24. He has taken voice lessons in the past but also received other opportunities for growth in other fields, particularly in basketball. He considers Jesus and his father his heroes in life and names John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Beyonce and Corrine Bailey Rae as his favorite musical artists.

A natural in the spotlight, Jared Cotter engaged millions of viewers each night on American Idol season 6, beating thousands to become the top 16 finalist.  Though he was eliminated on March 8, 2007, he was able to linger on the entertainment circuit with his post-Idol appearances and hosting duties.



Aside from being part of the G-Unit ad campaign and being featured on Right On! Magazine, Jared Cotter joined a live daily magazine show called The Sauce as a guest host in June 2007 and is now a regular co-host that conducts celebrity interviews and gives from the world of music, fashion and technology for the show.
