Survivor: Palau (Season 10)- left the show on Day 27
Janu Tornell Biography:
Janu Tornell, a member of the American Federation of Television and the Screen Actors Guild, was born to former Havana showgirl, Maria. Growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada, Tornell did not have any plans of following her mother’s footsteps. After she graduated from Valley High School, she stayed in Spain for some time and eventually moved back to the United States, particularly in Los Angeles, California, where she attended the Los Angeles Valley Community College. However, she ended up completing her studies in Las Vegas and ultimately found herself pursuing a career as a showgirl. She obtained her degree in Spanish from the University of Nevada in 2004. Aside from entertaining at a prominent Las Vegas hotel, Tornell also works as model. To add to her list of accomplishments, Tornell was crowned Miss Nevada USA in 1989. Tornell enjoys traveling, scuba diving, swimming, reading and surfing.
Unlike the 18 eliminated contestants on Survivor: Palau, Tornell went home out of her own accord. During the tribal council on Day 27, she told everyone that she had gotten what she came for, and that she could no longer bear to stay in the game and with the other players, some of who were just using Tornell to elevate their status in the game. The producers of the show allowed Tornell to come back to the show as part of the jury. Tornell was part of the dominant tribe, Koror.
