comes from Modesto, California. She started singing when she was just two-years-old. By the time that she was four, she took Tae Kwon Do lessons and became the youngest member of The Ernie Reyes Next Generation Team. Her background in martial arts gave her the opportunity to perform in different countries, and with many celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris.
At age seven, Janelle moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. She appeared on national commercials, TV shows and in films. Despite being active in the show business, she always made room for her dance training. Janelle went to Modesto and became a competitive cheerleader at the age of 12. She trained at Starstruck Cheer and Dance and eventually worked as choreographer for the group's dance team. She is also a head instructor at Jamz cheer camps.
Janelle can be seen on Bravos' reality series Step It Up and Dance
, where twelve dancers compete against each other in a series of tests including auditions for music videos and Las Vegas stage shows. At the end of the show, the winner will receive a $100,000 grand prize
