James Remar is best known for playing several villainous roles in films. He was first known for his role as the violent Ajax in the 1979 cult film The Warriors. Other films include 48 Hrs., Drugstore Cowboy, Rites of Passage, Blade: Trinity and 2 Fast 2 Furious. He was also slated to appear in the film Aliens, but his role was recast after differences with director James Cameron.
Remar had stints in several television shows, including Battlestar Galactica, The Grid, Sex and the City and Jericho. His most prominent TV role was in the Showtime drama Dexter, as Harry Morgan, the title character's late father who appears in flashbacks and as a ghost. He also voices characters in animated shows such as Ben 10: Alien Force.
