Biography

James Durbin is a Top 13 finalist on the tenth season of American Idol. Born in Santa Cruz, California, he auditioned in San Francisco. He was diagnosed with both Tourette's and Asperger's syndrome, but was not deterred by it. Encouraged to sing by his sister, he was the frontman of the band The Hollywood Scars, going by the stage name Jimmy Levox, before joining the show. He also appeared in several stage productions. He was eliminated during Top 4 week.
