Biography

American actor Jake McDorman was born on July 8, 1986 in Dallas, Texas. Born John Allen McDorman IV and a member of the Boy Scouts of America, he later dropped out of the organization to pursue his career in acting. Ironically, he landed his first acting job playing a Boy Scout in a promotional industrial film for the organization. After training at the Dallas Young Actors Studio and Performance center, Jake McDorman would go on to appear in a number of films and television series.

One of Jake McDorman’s earliest roles was in a church children’s musical titled The Amazing Scripture Memory Maze. In 2003, he landed the role of Scott Banks on the series Run of the House, a comedy starring Joseph Lawrence and Kyle Howard. From 2004 to 2005, McDorman played the character Parker Chase on more than 20 episodes of Quintuplets. His next project became the romantic thriller Echoes of Innocence, in which he co-starred with Sara Simmonds and Cody Linley. McDorman was later seen in Clark and Michael, before he was cast in the film Aquamarine. Taking on the role of Raymond, he was able to work alongside Emma Roberts, JoJo, Sara Paxton and Arielle Kebbel.

Jake McDorman’s next role was that of Dan in an epsidoe of the hit series House M.D. Before he was seen on shows like CSI: Miami and Cold Case, he portrayed a character in the direct-to-video sequel, Bring It On: All or Nothing with Hayden Panettiere. In 2007, McDorman booked a role in the action film Live Free or Die Hard, starring Bruce Willis, Timothy Olyphant, Justin Long, Maggie Q, and Cliff Curtis. That year, McDorman joined the cast of the ABC Family series Greek. His character is that of Evan Chambers, a ‘golden boy’ with good looks, power and wealth.
