Jacquese Smith was featured as a member of the cast in the fourteenth season of the hit MTV reality television series The Real World, which was set in San Diego, California. He was born on August 19, 1983, and originally hails from his hometown of Paterson in New Jersey. Jacquese was known for his classic motto of “don’t judge a book by its cover,” prompting others to look beyond first impressions. He used to be teased when he was younger for resembling the television nerd icon Steve Urkel from the 90s, as played by Jaleel White in the sitcom Family Matters.
Jacquese did not act the part of a class clown, though he did often provide comic relief for his friends and those around him. He combined his humorous outlook on life with a tenacious drive to succeed and a strong work ethic, making him a good friend and companion to be with. Early on in his life, Jacquese was also forced to grow up quickly and become the man of the house because of his father often not being around. Ever since he was young, he had to teach himself the maturity and passion he needed to get by in life, rather than learning it from others.
