Son of superheroes Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, Jack-Jack is the baby in the Disney/Pixar animated film The Incredibles. He is the youngest of three siblings, his brother and sister being Dash and Violet. He was first believed not to have any superpowers, but then displays an inhuman trait upon the end. When he is forcibly taken away from his mother, Jack-Jack unleashes his powers on the antagonist of the movie, Syndrome.
Jack-Jack has auburn hair that stands out in a line, like most babies. He also has blue eyes. He communicates by using subtle gestures, making others guess what he wants. His facial expressions are also a key element to understanding the infant. He usually speaks in baby gibberish. He has, however, talked in human form thrice in the movie. The first instance was when the family friend, Lucius Best/Frozone rang the doorbell to the Parrs’ home. Jack-Jack greets the sound with a “Hello?” The second time he spoke was when Syndrome captured him. He threatened the villain with many transformations while throwing a tantrum. Jack-Jack cries “Jack-Jack down!” while trying to harm his captor. He fought him and climbed down Syndrome’s leg. He also coos “Mama!” upon landing on Helen Parr’s arms and being rescued by her.
Pixar created the short film Jack-Jack Attack, which shows Jack-Jack displaying his powers. He discovers it while unleashing horror on his babysitter, Kari McKeen. In The Incredibles, his powers acquired the most attention when he transformed into a little fiery monster upon being attacked by Syndrome. Jack-Jack actually has a wide diversity of powers, which can also be seen on the bonus video. He can levitate, shape-shift and teleport. He also has superhuman strength and agility and acidic saliva, and possible invulnerability. The designer Edna Mode in the story made him a jumpsuit that is bulletproof and fireproof, which would aid him when he transforms into fire or metal.
Jack-Jack Parr is voiced by Maeve Andrews and Eli Fucile in The Incredibles.
