32-year-old J is a rebel against the corporations which he claims have stunted his growth as a chef. This Clifton Park, New York native works in a food court, but his twelve years' worth of experience had taken him to Price Chopper, Bluestone, Chestnut Ridge Country Club, and Kali's Court. This graduate from Johnson and Wales University says his dream restaurant is one that is modeled after Japanese culture. This self-confessed anal retentive is also a clean freak who thinks he is never wrong.

J is one of the 16 chefs competing to survive Gordon Ramsay's less than palatable words on the Fox reality show Hell's Kitchen.
