Designer Isaac Mizrahi is no stranger to television thanks to guest roles on Sex and the City, Spin City, Ugly Betty and his own reality TV program, The Fashion Show. Prior to penetrating the small screen, however, he was first known as the creative director of Liz Claiborne.
After receiving a sewing machine from his father at the age of 10, Mizrahi created his own label, IS New York, five years later. He studied at Yeshiva of Flatbush, High School of Performing Arts, and the Parsons School of Design before launching his first collection at a trunk show held by Bergdorf Goodman. Since then, his name has been making noise in the world of fashion. Some of his celebrity clients include Nicole Kidman, Selma Blair, Julia Roberts, Sarah Jessica Parker, Debra Messing and Natalie Portman.
In 2009, Mizrahi became the co-host of The Fashion Show on Bravo TV, along with singer Kelly Rowland. Subsequently, he was also cast as one of the judges on Project Runway All Stars.
