Break-dancer Hokuto “Hok” Konishi is one of the top 20 finalists on the third season of Fox Television’s reality show So You Think You Can Dance. Born on 1985 in Tokyo, Japan, he is of Japanese descent, yet actually hails from Oxford, England. Also nicknamed Bazilisk, he currently resides in the United States as a student of graphic design at the Santa Monica College in Los Angeles County, California. Hok has also appeared on the first and second seasons of the show, though he was unable to compete in the final twenty due to only having a student visa. He has since acquired a work permit and became eligible for participation in season three.
A former member of the dance troupe SickStep, he appeared with them during the second season auditions and was the final member to get to the Vegas stage. Hok is currently associated with the break-dance group Quest, which performs at various locations in California. Aside from dancing, he also enjoys painting, cooking, drawing, and playing the violin. Hok is also close friends with season one contestant Ryan Conferido, who is a fellow member of the group Quest. Hok has performed in public productions such as the Sai-gi carnival, Colluboration, All VC, Vibe, and Kollabortation.
